Position Summary

The University of Southern Indiana Romain College of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing position beginning in August 2025.

Duties/Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the undergraduate Marketing program and MBA program, as needed. Current course topics likely to be assigned include introduction to marketing and marketing research. Responsibilities include innovative teaching in areas consistent with the department’s needs, academic advising, active scholarship, and service at the program, university, and community levels.

Required Knowledge and Skills

A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited College of Business with a concentration in Marketing is required. Applicants with ABD status will be considered for the rank of Instructor if the terminal degree will be completed by the end of their first year of employment. If employment starts in August 2025, terminal degree must be completed by the end of July 2026.

About the College

The Romain College of Business (RCoB) is dual accredited by the AACSB for business and accounting and plays an important role in the economic and social development of the region. The College currently enrolls approximately 1,100 undergraduate business majors across eight different programs and more than 1,000 MBA students across multiple concentrations. The College also operates several state-of-the-art labs providing faculty access to high quality resources for teaching and research. These labs include the Biometrics Discovery Lab, the Judith A. and Robert E. Griffin Experimental Economics Laboratory, and the Textual Analytics and Publishing Lab.
