Must be able to work at least 36 hours per month from varying shifts including Days/Evenings/Nights and will be required to work some weekend and holiday shifts.



Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurses in the Chandler 5 Main Acute care area at UK Chandler Hospital provide care to adult patients with a wide range of medical / surgical conditions.
The 5 Main Chandler Acute care unit provides acute, comprehensive inpatient care for patients suffering from a variety of medical diseases and surgical complications. As a part of this unit, the LPN serves as an important component of the medical team. This team is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of multiple medical and surgical disease complications.
Works in conjunction with RNs.

The LPN is a member of the multidisciplinary ambulatory team who is responsible for patient care, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The LPN performs the duties for which they are trained such as starting IVs, simple wound dressings, and notifying the RN or LIP with any changes or abnormalities in the patients condition.
