Job Summary

The Dean’s Office in the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business & Economics seeks to fill one full-time, non-tenure eligible Lecturer position beginning January 1, 2025. This is a nine-month assignment to initially span two academic years and is renewable. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in social entrepreneurship (or related field) with 10 or more years of relevant experience. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation guidelines now include sustainability and social entrepreneurship across business education, emphasizing strategic planning, curricula, and research that yield positive societal impact. This approach directs business programs to address global issues such as poverty, climate change, and health disparities. In addition to teaching, this position will focus on AACSB standards related to social entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, and corporate sustainability.


This lecturer position involves teaching at least two courses per semester at the undergrad and/or master’s level. Teaching responsibilities may include courses on socially responsible investing, and social entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate levels, among others. In addition to teaching responsibilities, this position will include administrative responsibilities focused on AACSB standards associated with sustainability and social entrepreneurship. This includes working collaboratively with faculty to incorporate emerging industry trends and best practices into the curriculum, keeping programs and courses relevant and impactful.
