Physical Requirements
Requires handling of light-weight objects up to 10 pounds, standing, walking and sitting for long periods of time.
Shift
Primarily responsible for the shifts 4:00 p.m.– 12:00 a.m. Monday and Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Some holidays; occasional days and some night shifts.
Job Summary
University of Kentucky HealthCare (UKHC) is currently seeking a full-time chaplain. The chaplain will provide direct patient care, make spiritual assessments, prioritize pastoral care needs, provide sacraments or make provisions for such and address interfaith needs.
Other responsibilities will include preparing and providing memorial or worship services sensitive to the interfaith community, support and offer educational opportunities for health care team members.

Interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to work independently, organizational, administrative, and clerical skills, excellence in written and verbal communication and ability to work within a team. Ability to utilize knowledge and skills while working in a professional environment.

Preferred Education/Experience
Highly prefer one year experience in a clinical setting; four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an ACPE accredited training center; endorsement by a religious body as a chaplain and Board Certified or eligible for certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), or National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC).
