Job Summary
This position is located off-campus in Hazard, KY at UKHC North Fork Valley Dental Clinic.
The Dental Therapist Senior will assist the dentist in 4-handed dentistry during dental procedures.
Will chart for the dentist in an electronic dental record. Will set up and break down dental operatories and properly disinfect. Will chart for the dentist in an electronic record and obtain patient medical info, vitals, prescribed digital radio graphs and help with overall patient flow. Will place sealants, temporary restorations, composites and amalgams with minimal adjustment by the dentist. Will pack cord, take opposing impressions, bite registration, fabricate temporary crowns and bridge work and pour and trim diagnostic models. Will be responsible for dental clinic equipment maintenance and keeping accurate and up-to-date logbooks including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks.
