Physical Requirements
Ability to sweep, mop, vacuum, operate floor scrubber/buffer, and perform other cleaning duties. Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to engage in regular/routine standing, walking, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
Shift
Monday-Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.); occasional nights, weekends or holidays may be required .
24 hours per week during this time frame.
Job Summary
As an Extension Custodian, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance, cleanliness and other basic custodial aspects of the Extension office. General duties include facility management, cleaning, maintenance, basic landscaping, conference room set up, and general repairs while conducting yourself in a professional manner. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining bathrooms and kitchen areas; vacuuming and dusting entire office area; emptying trash and recyclables; maintaining and cleaning outdoor areas; occasional duties such as stripping and waxing floors; changing light bulbs; steam cleaning carpets; landscaping, mowing and weed eating outside areas; and setting up conference rooms.
You will report to an Extension Agent and there will be some interaction with the general public.
This is a Temporary position and may end at any time. This position is part time with an expected 24 hours worked weekly.
