Assistant Professor of Economics

The Department of Economics and Finance at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Economics. Our primary fields of interest are Econometrics and Macroeconomics, but all candidates with strong quantitative skills related to computational methods or machine learning are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach courses at the master's (Econ) and PhD (Finance) levels as well as mentor graduate students.

The expected start date for this position is Fall 2025. Salary and benefits are AACSB-competitive. Hiring decisions are subject to final budgetary approval.

Job Requirements:
Successful candidates must demonstrate the potential to publish in high-tier journals and must provide evidence of quality instruction. Candidates must complete their Ph.D. in Economics prior to the start date. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position.
